"Wander" 12 x 12 April 13, 2026 "Wander" explores the many meanings of getting lost. Sometimes, being lost can be overwhelming—like feeling left behind or struggling to understand. And at times, it’s a joyful experience, such as losing yourself in a book or audiobook you love. "Wander" captures those in-between moments we all encounter: the subtle, quiet spaces before we even realize we’re lost.
Lace 8 x 8 April 15, 2026 "Lace" reveals two elusive creatures nestled within a mass of tiny, intricate patterns—delicate and complex, much like real lace. The drawing is filled with delicate details that reveal themselves upon careful observation, inviting viewers to look closer and discover the figures hidden within. As part of a larger project exploring the challenges of reading, "Lace" explores this experience by creating a complicated, somewhat overwhelming effect that encapsulates how daunting and layered the act of understanding can feel. While this piece may not narrate a story by itself, it contributes to a collective portrait of how overwhelming experiences can still contain moments of beauty, discovery, and meaning.
Burst 8 x 8 April 13, 2026 Burst depicts two mysterious creatures concealed within a swirling mass, as if the shapes themselves are coming alive and enveloping them. The drawing is part of a larger exploration of how reading can feel overwhelming or even impenetrable at times—much like these intricate, layered images that invite viewers to search for meaning beneath the surface.
"Inside" 8 x 8 April 9, 2026"Inside" is about telling your story—about revealing what lies beneath the surface. Through my art, I share what is often difficult to express, opening a window into my own experiences and inviting others to look in. With this body of work, I hope to create a space where viewers feel encouraged to reflect on their own challenges and to start conversations about their struggles with reading or other disabilities. By letting people in, I aim to foster understanding, empathy, and dialogue.
"Alone" 8 x 8 March 27, 2026"Alone" depicts a solitary creature concealed within a maze of intricate designs. As with all the creatures in my work, it remains partially hidden, inviting viewers to search for its presence. The feeling of being alone is universal—something everyone experiences at some point. Yet solitude can be a source of strength and inspiration. Embracing what makes us different often sparks new ideas and discoveries. Sometimes, being alone opens the door to unexpected journeys and remarkable self-discovery.
"Open" 8 x 8 March 25 ,2026 "Open" features two creatures emerging and retreating within the intricate patterns that surround and conceal them. These figures move through openings in the design, exploring their environment and occasionally vanishing from view. Like many of the creatures in my work, they represent the elusive nature of understanding—how, just as with reading, it’s easy to get lost but always possible to return and rediscover what was hidden. "Open" speaks to moments of being overwhelmed, when you might need to close a book and take a break, yet the story remains, waiting for you to come back whenever you’re ready.

"Breathless" October 6, 2024 17 x 14 "Breathless" captures the universal experience of feeling overwhelmed—an emotional state we all encounter for many reasons, both uplifting and challenging. Each of us has our own stories and memories of moments like these. For some, "Breathless" reflects the anxiety or excitement that comes with reading aloud to others, a sensation that can be both daunting and inspiring. This feeling isn’t always negative; sometimes it pushes us to discover new ways of sharing our stories, moving beyond reading from note cards to speaking from the heart. "Breathless" is a central theme in my work, teaching me to navigate and grow through all kinds of challenges.
